Class 4 chemical indicators for STERIM steam sterilization

Class 4 multi-parameter chemical indicators in the form of a paper strip with perforation and substance test blue. Designed for daily inspection of a package treated with steam sterilization in sterilizers of various types. Multi-parameter indicators monitor the time and temperature of sterilization, and the control result is read by the color change along the entire length of the indicator substance strip. The response time of the indicator is controlled by a precisely selected chemical composition. The tests were performed according to ISO 11140-1 :2014 /type 4.

After a proper process, there is a change in the color of the chemical indicator from blue to black in the temperature range: 121°C and 134°C.

Type 4 indicator placed inside the package, on the tray or in the pouch will allow us to confirm vapor penetration at the location of the indicator. The change in color from blue to black gives the user a visual indication of the effectiveness of the process. Test substance applied to the strip is neutral, does not affect the course of sterilization or the quality of sterilized materials. Type 4 indicators are suitable for use in packages containing m. in. metal tools, porous materials, rubber, plastics and cotton underwear.
