Spraying STATIM's cassette with STAT-DRI PLUS liquid dramatically improves the batch drying process. By coating the inner surface with STAT-DRI PLUS drying agent, the water forms an even coating on the inner surface, without the formation of droplets. When the water comes into contact with the hot surfaces of the cassette, it evaporates much more efficiently. Spotting is minimised and instruments dry much better.
Keeping the Statim cassette clean helps the unit to function properly. SciCan recommends cleaning the inner surface of the sterilisation cassette at least once a week. To do this, use dishwashing liquid or a mild chlorine-free detergent and a fine sponge designed for use with Teflon™ coated surfaces. After cleaning, rinse thoroughly with water to remove any traces of detergent. Cleaning the inside of the cassette is very important when sterilising lubricated instruments.
STAT-DRI / STAT-DRI PLUS should be applied every 10 cycles and after each cassette cleaning.
