The use of a labeling and archiving system provides access to complete information on each stage of the medical device disinfection and sterilization process.
On the label, the data is printed on three lines. Label fields are designed to carry the following information:
A label should be applied to the prepared, sterilized packages using a label maker, on which information such as the number of the person operating the sterilizer (responsible for sterilization), the sterilization number, the package number, the date the package was sterilized, and the expiration date of the sterilized package can be recorded. The labels are characterized by the possibility of sticking and then tearing off the top layer and sticking it again in another place (they are double-adhesive).
Printouts should be attached to packages of sterilized instruments or materials before storage. After the procedure is completed, the printouts should be removed from the packages and attached to the patient's charts. Immediately before using the sterilized kit, affix the label to the intended documentation system or patient chart.
