IT27W-5 thermal disinfection test (90°C/5 min.)

After the cleaning process, tools must be disinfected to ensure safe handling and subsequent processing. Thermal disinfection, carried out in washer-disinfectors, is often used for this purpose. One of the most popular is a cycle in which the detergent solution is heated to 90°C for 5 minutes. This ensures the inactivation of fungi, bacteria and viruses. IT27W aims to monitor these very processes.

If the time and temperature parameters in the thermal disinfection process are correct, the indicator ink turns from green to purple.
