Batch control - Helix PCD Test - indicator in class 6 technology. Tests are designed for sterilization 134°C / 5.3 min.
Process test instruments (PCD) according to PN-EN 867-5 play a very important role in routine control of steam penetration inside tubular instruments during the sterilization process. The process test device (PCD) can simulate the tool as well as the load inside the sterilizer, so it can be used to control the load.
The Helix PCD test allows to assess penetration of the sterilant in the most inaccessible places of the sterilizer chamber, especially useful during control of sterilization of tubular instruments. It confirms that all parameters necessary for correct steam penetration have been achieved. The self-adhesive indicators can be pasted into the process documentation.
The test system consists of self-adhesive indicators type 6 and the Helix test instrument, made of plastic with a capsule for the strip indicator. The construction of the instrument allows its daily use. The strip indicator should be removed from the instrument immediately after the sterilization process and read. The change in color from light blue to black/graphite confirms that the sterilizer is functioning correctly in terms of air removal and steam penetration and the achievement of critical parameters of the sterilization cycle (time, temperature, saturated steam properties, vacuum generation).
Storage:Store in the supplied packaging at 10 - 30°C, relative humidity 30 - 70%. Keep away from light, do not expose to heat. Shelf life on the package.
STANDARD:Complies with EN ISO 11140-1:2015 (Sterilization of health care products -- Chemical indicators -- Part 1: General requirements)
Note:the PCD test instrument has a finite service life, when the set of strips is worn out, it should be replaced with a new one supplied with the set of strips. Continued use of the instrument may damage it, resulting in a dangerously misleading test result.
