Bowie Dick test package is designed for autoclaves equipped with a vacuum system. It is designed to show the effectiveness of removing condensable gases from the sterilizer chamber, test the tightness, as well as the steam penetration ability of individual batches. Bowie Dick early warning sheet detects the very first signs of sterilizer malfunctions.
In the Bowie Dick test package by STERIM, the test card is placed between sheets of special paper, a sheet with lamination and foam, which create particularly critical sterilization conditions. The test should be performed daily, before starting routine sterilizer operation. The cycle is carried out in an empty chamber in order to prepare it for operation and to capture any condensable gases that may be in the piping of the device installation.
The test result is immediate and easy to interpret - the indicator color changes from yellow to black. The chemicals in the package are lead-free and completely safe for the environment. Information on the test is provided in Polish, English, German and Russian. For additional protection, a single packet is placed in a zip-lock plastic bag.
