The sealing checker is used for routine visual inspection of the correct operation of medical roller sealing machines. The weld checker shows in a very easy way whether all quality objectives have been achieved. Subjective evaluation of the sealing process is excluded, regardless of the type of sealing machine. The weld checker used on a daily basis allows a complete check of correctness and gives the assurance of safe operation of the welding machine.
The weld test reports the daily correct operation of the roller welder, depending on:
- material composition,
- temperature,
- appropriate pressure and time (according to DIN 58953).
In the sealing process of paper-foil packages, the thermolabile film layer must bond evenly to the paper surface at the sealing site so that an adequate sealing strength (as specified in the standard) can be guaranteed. If the sealing temperature or sealing pressure is inadequate, this will be indicated on the sealing test. To be used according to the sealing temperature suitable for the sleeves and bags used - for paper-foil it is usually: 150 - 200°C.
